When a final is this close, it’s impossible to point to just one moment that decided it. Maybe it was Trevor Megill and Abner Uribe teaming up for a Win and a Save in the same game. Maybe it was 42-year-old Justin Verlander joining the roster just long enough to grab a clutch win. Maybe it was Christian Walker deciding the season finale was the perfect time to mash four home runs. Or maybe it was playing perfect defense—zero errors across the week—that gave Gallagher Gulch their edge.

Because when play began on Sunday, nearly everything was still up for grabs. Homers, Wins, Errors, Stolen Bases, Saves, and WHIP all had the potential to swing the championship. Stolen Bases tipped to the Cavemen by a single bag. Saves ended in a deadlock at five apiece. But Homers, Wins, Errors, and WHIP broke toward the Fat Boys—each by the narrowest of margins, including a 1.18 to 1.41 edge in WHIP, securing a 6–4 victory over Michiana in a heart-stopping championship matchup.

The Cavemen settle for silver, the Roadrunners grab third, and the Gallagher Gulch Fat Boys go down as the very first champions of the Pedro Cerrano Invitational. A season’s worth of chaos came down to a handful of plays—and the Fat Boys made just enough of them.

Series MVP

The first-ever PCI Finals MVP goes to Christian Walker, whose bat made the offensive difference for a pitching-dominant Gallagher Gulch squad. Walker hit .353 with 4 home runs and 6 RBI during championship week, almost single-handedly swinging the home run category by a single point and powering the Fat Boys to a 6–4 win over the Cavemen.
