With two weeks left to play in the regular season, the New Mexico Roadrunners became the first PCI team to clinch a playoff spot. Their 5–5 tie with the Gallagher Gulch Fat Boys wasn’t flashy, but with roughly 80 years of fantasy baseball experience between those two owners, it felt fitting that neither could budge the other. The result was enough to lock in a berth and keep New Mexico atop the league.
The Austin Armadillos held off the Michiana Cavemen 7–4, while the Indy Integrals turned in one of the week’s strongest showings, taking down the Rockport RedFish 8–2. Los Perritos del Desierto de Doña Ana handled the Rocketeers of Oahu with an 8–2 win, and the Boerne Mutts kept pace near the top of the standings by biting the Denver Donuts 7–3. In the tightest finish of the week, the Sinton Mullets edged out the Coastal Bend Oilers 6–5.
Heading into Week 21, the East remains topped by the Armadillos, who will try to hold off a charge from the Integrals, now within five games. Coastal Bend faces Michiana in a matchup both teams badly need to stay alive in the playoff race, while the Redfish squares off with the Mullets in a fish-on-fish battle.
The West features two top-six matchups. New Mexico enters as the first team officially locked into the postseason, and they’ll be tested right away in a clash with the Boerne Mutts, the division’s second seed. Doña Ana meets Gallagher Gulch with seeding on the line, while Denver takes on Oahu.
