Starting things off in the Hoosier State, Michiana handled business against the Indy Integrals, 6–4. The Cavemen leaned on their arms, sweeping the pitching categories with a 3.36 ERA and 1.07 WHIP, while also taking the edge in fielding. Indy controlled most of the offense (40 runs, 32 RBI, 10 steals, and a better batting average) but the teams tied in homers, and Michiana’s pitching dominance proved the difference as they worked their way past the Integrals and back into playoff position.

Back in Texas, the Austin Armadillos slipped past the Sinton Mullets 5–4 in a nail biter. The Armadillos’ bats exploded for 13 homers, 36 RBI, and a .317 average, which proved just enough to fend off Sinton’s strong pitching ratios and three saves.

Rockport woke up angry and took it out on the Coastal Bend Oilers, 8–2. It was dominance across the board for the RedFish, who matched Coastal’s 46 hits but turned them into more runs, steals, and ribbies. The Oilers managed to tie in homers and take errors and saves but little else.

In one of the week’s marquee matchups, the Boerne Mutts and Gallagher Gulch Fat Boys beat each other into a 5–5 draw. Boerne mashed 13 homers and plated 43 RBIs, but the Fat Boys clawed back with solid pitching, holding a 3.52 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. It came down to the wire on Sunday night, and neither side blinked.

Meanwhile out west, Doña Ana scraped out a 5–4 win over the Denver Donuts. The Chihuahuas’ 30 runs and 8 homers offset Denver’s stronger ERA and WHIP. Both squads notched five wins on the mound, but Doña Ana held on where it counted.

And the New Mexico Roadrunners continued their march of destruction with a 6–5 victory over the Oahu Rocketeers. Oahu actually outhomered the league leaders 13–10 and led in RBIs, while also taking three pitching categories, but New Mexico’s speed (13 steals!), relief pitching, and relentless run-scoring put them over the top.
