Week 13 delivered one nail-biter after another, with most matchups coming down to a single stat. As we round the corner into July, the division races are still anyone’s game.
Donuts 5, Armadillos 4
Denver’s pitchers held the line, posting a 3.94 ERA and 1.05 WHIP to secure the victory. Austin had more hits and a six saves but couldn’t overcome a rough week from the starting rotation—and suddenly forgot how to hit the long ball. Week 14 features father-son matchups for both squads, as the Armadillos take on the first-place Roadrunners and the Donuts host the Oilers in Denver.
Roadrunners 6, Integrals 3
New Mexico’s balanced attack proved too much for the East’s top seed. The Roadrunners took four of six pitching categories and edged out the Integrals in average and steals. Both clubs are in top-six showdowns this week: No. 1 New Mexico looks to keep rolling against No. 6 Austin, while No. 2 Indy hosts the third-place Chihuahuas.
Fat Boys 6, RedFish 5
The Fat Boys feasted on Donuts in Week 11. In Week 13, they cleaned up their diet by switching to seafood—though it was a close one, they still cleaned their plate. The RedFish won the power battle, slugging 12 home runs and driving in 42 runs, but Gallagher Gulch countered with 64.1 innings of steady pitching and edged out a win on the margins.
Chihuahuas 6, Mullets 5
Doña Ana’s bats came alive, leading the league in homers (16), runs (40), and finishing second in RBIs (39). Sinton countered with a sparkling 1.89 ERA and 0.69 WHIP but came up just one category short. While the Desert Dogs head to the Midwest this week, the Mullets face off in a matchup of team names with many of the same letters as they host the Mutts.
Oilers 6, Rocketeers 5
Coastal Bend nearly doubled Oahu’s innings pitched, piling up just enough wins and saves to take the week—despite being outhit. The Rocketeers actually lost this one on a rules violation, coming up just short of the required 27 innings pitched (by one!). Even though they won WHIP, all pitching categories defaulted to the Oilers. A good reminder to check your rosters and make sure you don’t have dead guys or open slots in your rotation. In Week 14, the Oilers visit the Donuts, while the Rocketeers look to blast off against another South Texas club in Rockport.
Mutts 5, Cavemen 4
Boerne did just enough on the mound to hold off Michiana’s offensive push, taking four of five pitching categories plus batting average. The Cavemen led in runs, home runs, and RBIs but couldn’t convert it into a win. Next up, the Mutts head to Sinton, while the Cavemen try to bounce back against the Fat Boys.
And speaking of the Fat Boys: I know not everyone pays attention to the in-app messaging (or even knows it exists), so let me amplify a note from last week, courtesy of Gallagher Gulch’s own Willie B. Lakey, aka Lindale Wiggins:
“The Fat Boys would love to trade some pitching for offense.”
So if you’re interested in making moves and that applies to you, you know what to do. Trade deadline is August 7th. I think.
In the Money: A Weekly Look at the Top Six
1. New Mexico Roadrunners (82–48–13)
Still setting the pace out West (and overall), the Roadrunners picked up another win in Week 13 and continue to produce on both sides of the ball… and show no signs of slowing.
2. Indy Integrals (68–61–14)
Despite a loss to the league leader, Indy remains atop the East thanks to a well-rounded offense. They currently lead the league in runs scored, batting average, home runs.
3. Doña Ana Chihuahuas (75–55–13)
Winners of six of their last seven, the Chihuahuas are hitting their stride. The staff has been strong and the bats came alive in Week 13. The road ahead includes a key matchup with Indy in Week 14.
4. Boerne Mutts (70–56–17)
Quietly reliable and built to grind, the Mutts are now second in the league in homers (132) and sit atop the RBI column with 443. A tough out each week.
5. Gallagher Gulch Fat Boys (71–60–12)
The Fat Boys have now won 5 straight weeks. They lead in four major pitching categories—ERA, WHIP, K/BB, and saves. In short: they don’t just win, they suffocate.
6. Austin Armadillos (68–62–13)
Still clinging to the final playoff spot, Austin leads the league in wins (57) but needs more consistency from the bullpen and lineup. Week 14 brings a tough test against New Mexico.
By the Numbers: League Leaders After Week 13
Leading the league in a single category is impressive and fun to track—but it doesn’t always make you the team to beat. The Integrals currently top the charts in batting average, home runs, and runs scored. The Fat Boys dominate the pitching side, leading in ERA, WHIP, K/BB, and saves—with a 22-save lead over the next closest club, the Oilers (57). Both sit comfortably in the top six.
But the teams with the two best records—New Mexico and Doña Ana—don’t lead in any one category. What they do instead is everything else: they’re balanced, consistent, and hard to beat week after week.

- Batting Average: Indy (.276)
- Home Runs: Indy (133)
- Runs Scored: Indy (441)
