Tuesday, October 15th, 2024
“When I played pro football, I never set out to hurt anyone deliberately, unless it was, you know, important… like a league game or something.”
– Dick Butkus
Week 6 is in the books, and while the scoreboard was a bit lopsided across the league, there was no shortage of action. The Jaybirds showed no mercy, the Leatherheads continued their reign, the Lobos clawed their way to victory, and the Tourists put on an offensive scoring clinic. With Week 7 just around the corner, we’re approaching the halfway point of the 14-week regular season, and the playoff picture is starting to take shape. Let’s dive into the details!
Week 6 Scoreboard

Jaybirds Overwhelm Robots
The Jaybirds flew high this week, cruising to a commanding 139-89 victory over the i2^3∑π. It was the dynamic duo of George Kittle and Deebo Samuel Sr. who led the way for the Jaybirds, torching the field with big plays and fantasy points galore. Meanwhile, the Robots struggled to keep pace, with Tony Pollard and Chuba Hubbard doing what they could, but it wasn’t nearly enough.
Next up, the Robots will look to bounce back as they host the San Antonio Tacos, while the Jaybirds head to Tortilla Flats for what promises to be a heated clash with the Troubadours.
Lobos Outlast Tacos in Close Contest
The New Mexico Lobos clawed their way to a 129-111 victory over the San Antonio Tacos, powered by QB Jalen Hurts and RB Kenneth Walker III. Hurts was as dynamic as ever, while Walker plowed through the Tacos’ defense to pile on points. Baker Mayfield and Drake London did their best to rally San Antonio, but they just couldn’t keep up with the Lobos’ relentless attack.
In Week 7, the Tacos will travel to face the Robots, while the Lobos get set to host the winless Muskellunge in New Mexico.
Leatherheads Crush Muskellunge
The Rockport Leatherheads extended the HLC’s current longest winning streak to five with a commanding 136-79 victory over the Michiana Muskellunge. Chris Godwin delivered a standout performance, hauling in 11 catches for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns, earning 35.5 fantasy points. QB Brock Purdy kept things steady, guiding Rockport to yet another dominant win. Meanwhile, the Muskies’ struggles continued, despite respectable efforts from RB Breece Hall and QB CJ Stroud. Their 0-6 record reflects the challenges they’ve faced so far this season.
In Week 7, Rockport will host the Austin Tourists in a much-anticipated showdown, while Michiana will travel to New Mexico to face the Lobos as they continue searching for their first win of the season.
Tourists Roll Over Troubadours
The Austin Tourists came roaring back with a decisive 163-93 win over the Tortilla Flats Troubadours. Derrick Henry powered the ground game with his usual ferocity, while WR AJ Brown hauled in big catches to keep the Tourists on the offensive. Lamar Jackson and Bijan Robinson did what they could for the Troubadours, but this week belonged to Austin.
Next week, the Tourists will travel to Rockport for a showdown with the Leatherheads, while the Troubadours try to regroup as they prepare to host the high-flying Jaybirds.
Player of the Week: Chris Godwin, Rockport Leatherheads
Chris Godwin takes home Player of the Week honors after his stellar performance. Hauling in 11 of 13 targets for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns, Godwin racked up a whopping 35.5 fantasy points, helping Rockport maintain their spot atop the standings.
