Week 10, Issue 11, November 14th, 2023

Jaybirds Stun Tourists
In a stunning upset, the Jaybirds continued their remarkable turnaround by defeating the top-ranked Austin Tourists, snapping the Tourists’ seven-game winning streak. The win comes just one week after the Birds shocked Michiana, another former first place team. Led by veteran running back Devin Singletary, who rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown, accumulating 23 fantasy points, and quarterback Jared Goff, who contributed 21 points by completing 23 of 33 passes for 333 yards and two touchdowns, the Jaybirds secured their second consecutive win.

The Tourists’ typically potent offense was held in check, with quarterback Josh Allen scoring 14 fantasy points, his lowest point total since week 1. Wide receiver Chris Olave managed to put up 21 points, but it wasn’t enough to counter the Jaybirds’ momentum. The final tally saw the Jaybirds triumph with a score of 108 to 100.

In Week 11, the Tourists will face a formidable Lobos team in New Mexico. The Jaybirds, who started the season 0-5, have now won 3 of their last 5 matchups and will look to stay hot and continue their winning ways against a slumping Leatherheads squad in Rockport.

Tacos Tame Muskies
The San Antonio Tacos executed a perfect game plan as they defeated the Michiana Muskellunge with a score of 143 to 125. This victory propelled the Tacos back into first place in the East Division, with an impressive 8-2 record. Star wideout Keenan Allen gave San Antonio fans a scare in the second half, when he made a brief exit for a shoulder evaluation but was able to return to action. His performance was outstanding, with 11 receptions on 14 targets for 175 yards and two touchdowns, accumulating an impressive 40 fantasy points, earning him Player of the Week Honors.

The Muskellunge also had standout performances, with wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and tight end TJ Hockenson both scoring 30 points. However, despite their efforts, the Tacos proved to be too spicy to handle.

Next up for the Tacos is a matchup against the Troubadours in Tortilla Flats, while the Muskies will aim to bounce back as they face the Robots.

Troubadours Triumph Over i2^3∑π
The Tortilla Flats Troubadours secured a road victory, defeating i2^3∑π with a score of 104 to 92. Christian McCaffrey’s remarkable touchdown streak ended at 17 games, just one shy of the NFL record. However, McCaffrey still managed to contribute with 16 rushes for 95 yards and six receptions for 47 yards, totaling 20 fantasy points. Quarterback Joe Burrow added another 20 points, completing 27 of 40 passes for 347 yards with two touchdowns.

The Robots, who have been missing star wide receiver Justin Jefferson, continued to struggle on offense, even though their quarterback, Justin Herbert, put on a spectacular performance. Herbert completed 27-of-40 passes for 323 yards with four touchdowns, earning 29 total fantasy points. Nevertheless, the Troubadours held on for a 104-92 victory.

Both teams will be hosting their games in Week 11. The Troubadours will face the red-hot Tacos, while the i2^3∑π are hopeful that Jefferson will return from the IR in time for their matchup against the high-scoring Muskellunge offense.

Lobos Overpower Leatherheads
The defending champion New Mexico Lobos secured their third consecutive victory, defeating the Rockport Leatherheads with a score of 162 to 127. The Lobos’ offensive firepower was once again on full display, with CeeDee Lamb leading the way by accumulating 39 fantasy points. Lamb caught 11 of 14 targets for 151 yards and a touchdown, while also running in a 14-yard touchdown on his only carry. Jahmyr Gibbs and Ja’Marr Chase also made significant contributions, scoring 26 and 23 points, respectively.

The Leatherheads didn’t back down, putting up 127 points with strong efforts from quarterback Brock Purdy (23 points) and running backs Austin Ekeler (21 points) and Alvin Kamara (18 points). However, their impressive showing wasn’t enough to overcome New Mexico’s dominance.

In Week 11, the Leatherheads will host the resurgent Jaybirds in Rockport, while the Lobos will face the Tourists in New Mexico as they continue their pursuit of a playoff spot.
